Meet the Team

Dr. Samir El Sakka. Associate veterinarian. Dr. Samir Graduated from Veterinary College, Mansoura University, EGYPT. He earned his BVSc back in 2006. After graduation, he worked in Equine medicine for 2 years before switching to small animal medicine, which is his main passion.

Dr. Samir moved to Los Angeles back in 2010 and passed all his state board exams before earning his DVM license. He worked at ACCESS emergency specialty hospital for 6 years alongside emergency medicine specialists and board-certified surgeons before Joining our family at Ace animal hospital in 2022. His main interest is emergency medicine and surgery.

Dr. Samir enjoys trying new cuisines, attending concerts and movies, horseback riding, and nature. After work, he spends time with his pet and family.

Hello, my name is Hector, and I have been a resident of San Pedro for three years. I am currently working as a veterinary technician assistant at this hospital since November 2021. With over 13 years of experience in various practices, including shelter, low-cost, general practice, ER, and Specialty, I joined this hospital to offer my services to the community and its furry friends and family. I am proud to be part of a team that is committed to re-establishing a healthy relationship with the community and its furry family members. We understand the challenges that this practice has had with prior ownership, and we strive every day to provide high-quality care, service, and compassion to those who have entrusted us with the care of their animal companions during their time of need. When I am not at the hospital, I enjoy exploring local trails, spending time downtown, or working out at the local boxing gym. Our goal is to work collaboratively with our staff and new owners to better serve the community and all of its pets. We are committed to ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care and service, and we welcome any feedback or suggestions that could help us improve our practice.

Diana has been working in the Veterinary community for over 10 yrs. After High School, she volunteered at the San Pedro Animal Shelter where she discovered her passion for helping animals. As front office admin, she is committed to providing customers with exceptional customer service and connecting with you regarding your pet’s needs and concerns.

My name is Savanna, and I’m the first RVT at ACE Animal Hospital! I began my journey in veterinary medicine in 2013 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2016.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various departments, nursing animals in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Surgery. With my education and experience, I joined ACE as a lead supervisor to provide training and support to their technical staff. The best part about working here is the location. San Pedro is my home, and I take pride in serving my community. Plus, the fact that I live just 5 minutes away is an added bonus! When I’m not working, you can find me practicing yoga, pilates, or out in the ocean, learning to surf!

With a passion for animal care that began in childhood, Betty brings 5 years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician to her role at ACE Animal Hospital.  When she's not ensuring pets receive quality care and nurturing them back to health, you can find Betty embarking on adventures across the coast. Her dedication  to the wellbeing of animals makes her an invaluable member of the ACE team in their mission to see pets thrive as happy and healthy companions.

With a lifelong passion for caring for creatures great and small, Panechan found her calling at Ace Animal Hospital. Over the past 4 years as a veterinary technician, she has helped provide top-notch care for pets from puppies to pythons.  When she’s not busy nurturing her furry, feathered, and scaly patients back to health, you can find Panechan at home cuddling her beloved pets. For Panechan, bringing comfort and joy to animals in need is the greatest achievement of all.

Hi there, my name is Mary! I am 27 years old with two dogs and a cat who aided in my love for animal medicine! I am passionate about all animal care but have only worked with cats and dogs thus far. I have been with the Ace Fam for one year and have been in the veterinary field for 5 years now. I am very thankful to have developed many skills in the time that I have been at Ace Animal Hospital. I feel more prepared than ever to sit for my state exam and become an RVT. I aspire to branch out to different fields of veterinary medicine i.e., exotics (birds and reptiles), large animal medicine (equine and ruminants) and maybe even wildlife! I look forward to developing my skills and learning new things every day while at Ace before I work with different species. 

With a menagerie of pets at home, Mary's love for animals led her to a career in veterinary medicine. For the past 5 years, she has honed her skills while working with cats and dogs at Ace Animal Hospital. Now, after a year with the Ace team, Mary feels prepared to become a registered veterinary technician. She looks forward to expanding her expertise by working with exotic species, large animals, and wildlife. Though her current focus is small animals, Mary's passion lies in lifelong learning - she strives to develop new skills and help as many creatures as possible, big or small.

Meet Lorenzo, an animal lover who found his calling caring for animals. After graduating from vet assistant school, Lorenzo now works at Ace Animal Hospital, where he ensures the comfort of boarding pets. When he's not busy cleaning kennels and tending to four-legged clients, you can find Lorenzo making memories with family. His nurturing nature and veterinary knowledge make him a true animal advocate.

Danny is a Kennel Technician with a special place in his heart for animals. He can't resist their adorable charm. Alongside his love for animals, Danny has a passion for acting and bringing characters to life. When not captivating audiences, he immerses himself in competitive games, always up for an exhilarating challenge. In January of 2023, Danny earned a marketing degree, paving the way for his future goal of opening his own business. His linguistic skills are expanding too, as he's fluent in both English and Spanish and is currently delving into American Sign Language to connect with a wider range of people. Danny is always ready to make a difference.

Moana has been a cornerstone in our hospital’s administrative functions ensuring workflow runs smoothly. She will expedite your requests and remembers almost every pet and owner from when they are babies to their golden years.  She is quite knowledgeable and works closely with our veterinarians to get your pet the best treatment plan available.
